Meeting Molly

You might remember the Baby Sprinkle we had for Hallie and Chase....well little miss Molly arrived on 11/10 and is absolutely adorable! Matt and I were so excited to meet her. It is always fun to hold a newborn!!! It is even more fun to watch Matt hold a baby - he is such a natural!

Yes, this was about a 3 minute handoff between Matt and I...lol!

Always Learning

After finding two great bowties on sale at Marshalls the other weekend Matt decided it was time to learn how to tie an actual bowtie. Chris was in town for a wedding and Matt let him borrow one of the bowties. They spent about 30 minutes in front of the mirror, laughing and learning from a 7 year old on youtube. This was their "finished" work.

Luckily they both improved when it was showtime - as evidenced by the prior post!!!

Dressing Up for a Cause

This past Saturday Matt and I had the pleasure of attending a gala fundraiser for a group called Orphan Angels. UNICEF estimates there are about 143 million orphans in the world. This local group is responsible for bringing 9 Eastern-European kids over and finding amazing homes for them this year.

Not sure why someone would need to take our picture from this particular angle!
Thank you Tracey for letting me borrow a perfect dress the morning of! Whew!

It worked out pefectly because the gala was the same night that Chris and Jamie were headed to their wedding. We didn't plan out our dresses - they just happened to be nearly the same, fabulous blue color.
What a beautiful couple!

A Fancy Night....IN!

Chris and Jamie are in town visiting us - and for two couples always on the go we decided to kick the weekend off right with a night "in". We did a several course dinner in our pjs around the fire pit outside.

(Side note: After seeing the perfect little firepit at Lowes on sale for $40 I finally convinced Matt to let us get one!!!!)

We started the evening inside with a selection of cheeses from Whole Foods (thank you gift cards) followed by bruschetta. The night's entree consisted of amazing steaks, potatoes and veggies topped off with s'mores!

I'm not sure any restaurant dinner can top a meal in your pjs in your backyard!
