Gift of the Year (for 2012)

Last year I posted about what I thought was one of the greatest gift ideas ever! Well if that was our great idea for 2011 - I am pleased to present our 2012 gift of the year. Gift of the year isn't about how much you spend or what the occassion is - it is a self-appointed victory centered around being creative and giving a gift that perhaps no one has thought of before (or at least you have never seen posted on pinterest!).

So drumroll please....

Amy's Graduation Gift!!!!

It is no secret I plan gifts out way in advance (similar to life) - so last year when Nathan and I were talking about Amy graduating this year - I started to realize I had no idea what to get her. So I thought about it on and off the next few weeks and then one day as I was decorating for Halloween I thought - when you graduate college you have (typically) no money. So that first year you never get to spend much on frivolous stuff like holiday decorations. And WHO doesn't like to decorate for the holidays! So Matt and I bought a huge tub and after each holiday we went out to collect really great decorations up to 80% off. Because, let's be real, if you had to buy all the decorations full price that would be outrageous! So over the next 6 months we filled her bin with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day, St. Patty's Day and Easter! The best part is - I think she loved it!
