Costumes, Chili & (Pumpkin) Carving

The 4th Annual Lundeland Halloween Party was a success. Saturday we had 30 of our good friends over to celebrate one of my favorite holidays!  Not that we need an excuse to dress up, but yes, costumes were mandatory.

Matt and I went as Sheldon and Amy from the Big Bang Theory. I was not overly impressed with our effort this year; however, hard to argue with a total cost of $10. Lucky was an adorable little prisoner, and my dad brought his A-game as Clark Kent.

Other costume highlights included...
Pilot & Air Traffic Control. Side note...happy birthday Mark!!!

Buzz Light Year and Jessie

ANCHORMAN Couple!!! Joe won "Most Committed" by shaving his beard. First time in the 4 years I have known him I have seen his chin and sweet dimples! Joe, you looked adorable!!!

Rainforest Animals & National Geographic photographer

 Molly made the cutest Dorothy!

Polar Bear, Penguin and Daft Punk. Chuck may have scared all if the little kiddos with his costume.

Duck Dynasty

Coming in at 2nd place was Breaking Bad.... And our number 1...winners of the evening...

The Jamaican Bobsled team from Cool Runnings!!!

Besides the costumes, the food was amazing, company great, and the rain (almost) held out the entire evening.

Thankful for another year of dressing up, over-eating and hanging with friends!

Easter 2013

It was, as always, a great Easter spent with my family and close friends!

Each year mom has an egg commissioned to give to everyone

Easter morning brunch. I pushed for paper products to help ensure easy cleanup!!!

Welcome to the (Catholic) Club Amy

Easter was extra special this year because we got to celebrate my future sis-to-be joining the Catholic church. Crazy to think that 5 years ago we were at the same service for Matt. When we were in Paris Matt and I bought a rosebud rosary and prayed it together in the Sacre Coeur church for Amy and her faith. I was SOO excited to give it to her. Something small, but special. In fact, this might be 2013's gift of the year so far!

Mom and I about to get ready - Lucky wanted to join

For Easter this year Matt got all the guys crazy socks which they wore to Easter mass!

Lucky secretly hoping we won't see her on my mom's pillow

5th Annual Lundebold Crawfish Boil

We are on year 5 of our annual Easter "Lundebold" crawfish boil. Each year the crawfish boil is hosted by either Matt and I or Brian - hence, Lundebold. Last Fall Nathan called me to say that he was giving me ample time to adjust to the fact that Easter 2013 would break tradition slightly and need to be held in Jackson, MS. Amy was to be confirmed into the Catholic church that weekend. While I took it better than Brian, we all jumped on board and Nathan hosted the perfect weekend.

Each year we look to top the year before. Year 3 we made a custom crawfish table. Year 4 we made our own beer. This year while we were all in town for Nathan and Amy's couple shower, the boys spent one morning designing and building two custom crawfish boil tables for Easter. They could not have turned out any better!

Good crawfish. Good people. Good weather.

You can't really ask for more.

I was pretty excited about Lucky's Easter outfit: "Hangin' with my Peeps!"
She followed the boys everywhere!

Just missing Amy

Seriously, how cute are these

Matt's annual crazy crawfish picture. He is a cutie!

It's go time! Round 1!!!

Easter Decor 2013

For about the past year I have tried to go with "less is more" and "quality not quantity" as my inspiration for holiday decorating. I LOVE putting up holiday decor and could easily go overboard. At first I put up all the decorations I had for each holiday every year. Well, that worked out fine due to the fact that I didn't really have that much stuff. But now that I have about six solid years of post-holiday shopping under my belt I have had to start being a bit more discerning as to what goes up each year. At the end of the day however, I'll probably always put up more than the average person! And I am a-ok with that!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This year St. Patty's day almost completely skipped by us. I passed up on decorating the house and went straight to Easter decorations...and at one point today I wasn't even wearing any green! Sooooo not typical! Luckily some friends hosted a low key St. Patty's BBQ last night so we got to all bring "our kids" - (quotes because our kid was Lucky) and wear some green. I only snapped a few pictures of the two sweet kiddos with Lucky! Next year I will have to double up on holiday festivities to make up for this year! Still a fun weekend though!

Lucky is so sweet with kids
Waiting for Molly or Weston to share dinner

Somehow this turned into less of a post about St. Patty's day - and more of a post about Little Lucky. What can ya do!

XOXO

I kept the Valentine Day cards simple this year and all 8 for just about $5 - including postage!

Pack of 8 for $1 - Target Dollar Section - Holla!

I love matching stamps to the cards inside!

Another Target $1 section success!
And now Matt and I are off to enjoy the evening with a homemade surf n' turf dinner watching our new favorite show Elementary!
