So this year's superbowl was WAY less stressful than last year considering that I had no preference in which team won. Lacking enthusiam in the game allowed me to focus on what really matters...the commercials! We joined Katy & Drew and their families and friends to watch the game and I was incharge of cupcakes. Katy was making three different chilis so I had to bring my A-game with dessert.
I first had to double-check who was playing. (don't judge). Then made LOADS of cupcakes and started mixing colors. Unfortunately I couldn't quite get Navy blue and Red - I feel like they came out more like pink and baby blue. Other than that, and the fact that the Patriots have like the most difficult "logo"...they turned out pretty good!

Part two of this post is in regards to the commercials debuted during the Superbowl. Well technically I guess they already gave the public a sneak peek - but as I watched pretty much no TV last week they were ALL new to me!
Here is the lowdown on my top favs...(and these are not in order):
1. Oikos Yogurt with the girl headbutting John Stamos. Laughed. Outloud!
2. They Hyundai CPR commercial. Very Clever!
3. The Clint Eastwood Detroit car commercial. Kind of serious for the superbowl, but if you have a captive audience like that - I say go for it.
4. The little boy peeing in the pool. I don't care who you are, that is funny!
5. The naked M&M commercial. Hilarious - and appreciated the LMFAO reference
Lastly, not sure what you guys thought of the halftime show...but, bite my tongue, liked it. I am not a fan of Madonna - but despite her adaquate dancing and the fact that I am pretty sure she was lip singing - it was very well done and I liked the guest artists!
