Valentine Wine Tasting

Tonight, or rather technically, last night, we had a FABULOUS Valentine-themed wine tasting party. I had so much fun prepping for the big day. You know you love hosting parties when you fall asleep feeling like it is almost Christmas morning.

Last year we had so much fun hosting a formal dinner with a few close friends...but this year took the cake. Towards the end of last year you might remember that we went to a fancy gala benefiting Orphan Angels. Well always the sucker for awesome charity-silent auctions...we bid, and won, a wine tasting for 20 friends. Even better is the wine tasting venue flooded (well better for us, not them) so they have been hosting their events at peoples homes. As the happy hosters that we are - the planning began!

Invitations went out, desserts were planned and decorations were made. Tonight was so much fun, and better than the actual wine tasting was getting to spend time with dear friends! Check out highlights below...

Amazing cookies made by Julie

My cupcakes! Not a copy of pinterest. Original design!

Everyone brought their favorite cheese and using wine corks I made heart-shaped signs to label the all the tasty cheeses.

How cute is that little mailbox with "Valentines" coming out of it. $1 at Target!

To hydrate before heading home we had waters for everyone to take with them!

Matt had the brilliant idea to hang the party lights...very "vineyardy." We are so lucky we have the space to host some many people at one time. I guess that is what happens when you don't buy furniture for your "formal living"

Not everyone brought regular cheese. A few friends made something with their favorite cheese. These amazing goat cheese crustinis were made by Julie and delicious!

With Julie....thanks so much for helping with everything!

Mom is in town so she was able to join the party!

So during the entire winetasting Lucky decided to snuggle up at Uncle Brian's feet. Hilarious! She just LOVES her Uncle Brian.

Freaking adorable!
