This year was the first Christmas Matt and I spent with my family...and it was worth the wait! Christmas has always been big for Matt's family as all of the extended family lives in Wisconsin (or Chicago) and gets together. Christmas has always been special with my family, but not quite as big. We typically celebrate just the 5 of us, which I love. Thanksgiving on the otherhand has turned out to be quite the event at our house. So the first two year we were married (and no we did not celebrate together until we were married...neither of us was willing to give up our traditions first!!) we did Thanksgiving with my family and Christmas with Matt's! While I missed out on tailgating for the LSU game Thanksgiving break, it was fun to spend it with Matt's family. And in return...Matt got his first "snowless" Christmas in Jackson, Mississippi!

| Dressed up for Christmas Eve mass followed by dinner! A very handsome family if I do say so myself! |

| Our little family! |
 |
| Dad and Lucky. It was so sweet how much the entire family just took to Lucky. As sweet as she is though, it's not hard! |
 |
| Matt and I got Nathan a Crockpot and recipe book so he can enjoy the fabulousness of putting something together in the morning and coming home from work to the aroma of dinner ready to be served! |
 |
| I had to do it! Every morning I sneak a few bites of Matt's cereal and he says "hurry up I don't want the cereal to get soggy!" So I saw this bowl where you keep the cereal on top and the milk on bottom and slide down the cereal one bite at a time! So funny! |

Matt did an amazing job on my gifts this year! The sneaky guy got into my pinterest page to see what I had tagged...pure genius! He made and framed some scrabble letters (pic to come) and got me the cutest pair of Toms. The funny thing is I didn't even realize I had pinned the Toms so was so excited when I opened up the box!
My parents went all out to make it a really special time for our family and for that I am so thankful!
Santa was pretty good too!
