Playing House

As we do not have any immediate family in town, we are always willing to help out our friends with kids when they are in a pinch - because one day that will be us! Our good friends Mark and Jena had a work holiday party and couldn't get a babysitter! As Bellas is one of the sweetest babies ever we were happy to take her for the night. Matt got home at 5 to meet Mark and make the handoff. We had doggy training lessons for Lucky that night so we packed up Bella and Lucky and made it through an entire session with a scared dog and sleepy toddler. We realized that we still have some parenting training of our own as we parked the car, got out the baby and realized we forgot her jacket (of course it just had to be one of the coldest days we have had so far). Luckily we had a fleece blanket in the trunk so we just wrapped her up tight like a burrito! We were super excited to see that Lucky is amazing with kids!

During our session Bella needed a diaper change and Matt and I almost broke out rock, paper, sissors! I stepped up though and realized how nice it is when restrooms have changing tables. Both dog and kid made it home safe and were asleep by the time we pulled up to the house!
